Project Manager

We are currently seeking a self-motivated and skilled individual to be our next Project Manager and join our growing team headquartered in Chicago, IL. This position will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. They will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of the project are compatible, and will hire new talent as needed to fulfill our client’s needs. We are looking for an individual who is creative and dedicated to fit within our collaborative culture. This position will require some overtime hours, especially around end of month deadlines.

About the Role:

RJ Reliance is rapidly growing, and we are looking for a Project Manager to be responsible for all issue resolution, program management, and other task order support, providing comprehensive account support for the program. The Project Manager shall be a single point of contact for the contract for all program wide technical issues and resolution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee work performance of one or multiple tasks

  • Coordinate and oversee the work efforts of the team

  • Interface and communicate with the client to ensure client satisfaction

  • Ensure compliance with all project requirements and quality standards

  • Provide guidance, direction and ultimate management, and reviews all services for conformance with client specifications

  • Managing budgets, schedules, reports and participating in agile project teams with Scrum methodology preferred

  • Great presentation skills with emphasis on organization and attention to detail 

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) or equivalent in Business, Computer Information Services

  • Certification in at least one project management related area preferred (CSM, ACP, PMP, etc.) is a plus

  • 3-5 years of experience preferred 

  • Oversee and lead various sized projects with an average team of 1–15 resources

  • Coordinate and lead project planning efforts to determine requirements and specifications, project scope, staffing needs, scheduling, risks and issues and contingency plans

  • Manage daily details of the project, including tasks, daily stand ups, daily communication with the team, task tracking, scope, and schedule mitigation, risk management, roadblocks, etc.

  • Create and monitor regularly project schedules, scope, budgets, risks and issues, action items, implementation of corrective actions to stay on schedule and within budget

  • Facilitate daily stand up meetings, documentation of team updates, weekly PPT status reports, blockers, and action items and send out post meeting notes

  • Coordinate and lead other project meetings focused on status reporting, problem resolution, feedback, fostering open communication within the team on project planning and execution

  • Maintain and distribute project management deliverables including status reports, meeting minutes, issue logs and any other documentation as directly related to the management and administration of the project

  • Coordinate and implement, and document sprint, milestone, project reviews and 360 feedback processes regarding project resource evaluation for annual reviews and best practices moving forward

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Dependable, great attitude and team player

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, providing direction and mentoring to others
